Also of possible interest......Fort William Advertisements from 1900 to the 1940 / 50’s , books old and new pertaining to the town , a selection of misc Images of the town , including an 1832 Print of Fort William , 1834 print of Ben Nevis and Inverlochy Castle , print of Queen Victoria's arrival in Fort William in 1847, 1860's engraving of the town and an 1888 sketch of the High Street. Albumen Prints , taken from glass negatives exposed at the completion of the West Highland Railway in the 1890’s can also be viewed as well as early 1900's Images from Kinlochleven!  Recent addition...1950's images.                                      
A selection of old postcard images from  the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands mainly devoted to the town of Fort William but  including a selection from such areas as Mallaig , Morar , Arisaig , Glenfinnan , Corpach ,Caledonian Canal ,Roy Bridge , Spean Bridge , Banavie , Laggan , Inverlochy , Glen Nevis , Ben Nevis , Achintore , Onich , Ballachulish , Kinlochleven , Glencoe , Duror , Strontian ,Lochaline ,Acharachle ,Ardnamurachan in fact , from all over Lochaber and the collection is still growing!!

Peter Robertson's Ironmongers shop in the Palace Hotel Building prior to the First World War.John Pearson is the one with the cap and the other is Jack Robertson,Peter's son. Information for this postcard comes from "Fort William Memories" published in 1992.
